- The growth of SMRs and advanced reactors represent a ground-breaking paradigm shift for the future of nuclear energy. Modular, flexible, and adaptable, SMRs are the energy carrier to decarbonize the world’s most polluting industries. When commercialized, they will unleash a new era for carbon free power.
Incentivised by public and private sector investment, the SMR market is estimated to be worth $18.8 billion by 2030. Yet the roadmap to the commercialization remains unclear. How can those leading the charge overcome supply chain and resource planning challenges? How can developers and utilities alike navigate regulatory challenges and streamline licensing? Which new finance initiatives will accelerate scalable deployment?
Collaboration and knowledge exchange is the only solution to tackle these challenges. Reuters Events: SMR & Advanced Reactor 2024 is the place where over 500 public and private sector leaders and changemakers unite – from utilities, financiers, reactor developers, technology providers and regulators – all with one mission, to move SMRs from pilot to commercialization. No government, organization or business can unlock this billion-dollar opportunity alone.
